Before You Get Started
Once you've exported your passwords from Safari, all of your data will be stored in plaintext. Anyone with access to this file will be able to read your passwords. Be careful where you store the exported file and delete it once you're finished.
It's not currently possible to export your passwords from Safari on iPhone/iPad. You will need a Mac in order to do this.
Step 1 - Export From Safari on Mac
- Open Safari
- Click Safari in the menu bar at the top of the screen
- Click Preferences...
- Click Passwords
- Enter your Mac account password or use Touch ID to authenticate
- Click the three dot menu (...) in the bottom left of the window

- Click Export Passwords...
- Choose where to save the file and click Save
- Authenticate again using your account password or Touch ID
